On March 25, according to foreign media reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently stated that the goal is to complete the development of the Cybertruck this year and put it into production in 2023.
In 2019, Tesla launched the Cybertruck electric pickup, which it said would go on sale at the end of 2021, before being delayed until 2022. In January, Musk made it clear that Tesla would not produce the Cybertruck or any new cars in 2022.
Since then, there have been rumors that Tesla plans to start producing the Cybertruck in early 2023. During a Model Y delivery event at Tesla’s Berlin plant, an employee asked Musk about Tesla’s short-term goals.
Musk reiterated that Tesla’s focus this year is on ramping up production of current car products, especially the Model Y and Model 3, but he also made a rare comment on the Cybertruck: “We hope to complete the development of the Cybertruck this year and have it ready for next year. production-ready.”
Musk also said Tesla aims to finish engineering the new Roadster this year and hopes to get enough batteries to produce more Tesla Semi trucks.
