With an official release, Netflix Games announced the selection of mobile games offered at no additional cost to all subscribers will soon expand with three new games: This Is A True Story, Shatter Remastered and Into The Dead 2: Unleashed.
Created in collaboration with Charity: Water, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing clean water to the inhabitants of developing countries, This Is A True Story (Frosty Pop) is a puzzle game based on the true story of a woman from ‘Sub-Saharan Africa struggling daily to find water for her family.
Shatter Remastered (Pik Pok) is a retro-flavored arcade shooter whose aim is to destroy bricks. This is an updated and adapted version for the mobile devices of Shatter, a game originally released in 2009 on Playstation 3.
Into The Dead 2: Unleashed(Pik Pok), finally, is a first-person shooter – the first of its kind for Netflix Games – in which you have to annihilate hungry undead using powerful hand-to-hand weapons, guns, explosives and much more.
The launch of This Is A True Story and Shatter Remastered is currently set for the month of March, while Into The Dead 2: Unleashed is still lacking a precise release date (Netflix has communicated a generic “coming soon”).
When their time comes, all three titles can be downloaded at no additional cost from the dedicated section of Netflix’s mobile apps for iOS and Android. The announcement of the new batch of games came a few weeks after Netflix announced the acquisition of NextGames for 65 million euros.
