Google is changing a little how you will silence your Android phone in the future. It is probably primarily about the branding of the function. Please do not disturb, that’s the name of Do not Disturb in its German version on Android devices.
But Google has changed what this feature is called and how its functions are described for the future. The main thing is that the function will have a different branding from Android 13 but still seems to work as before.
Android 13: Do Not Disturb (DND) will receive new branding to better reflect how it actually works
Google will be using a priority mode for Android in the future. Which also sounds reasonable, because it is basically already based on the fact that only certain apps and functions should interfere. Or just enjoy a higher priority. For example, the description changes in the settings. In the future it will say: “Notifications that reach you”.
Google is planning to introduce the new or differently named functions for the upcoming Android 13. It is currently not known whether there will also be functional innovations.
