Last January, Samsung released the Android 12 -based One UI 4.0 update for one of its most popular mid-range devices, Galaxy A52s 5G; pity that according to what many users report on the brand’s forum, the update in question has introduced numerous bugs.
According to user statements, the problems occurred following the installation of the update, including a general lag in the user experience, lower camera performance, erratic auto-brightness, problems with the proximity sensor during calls and abnormal battery drain.
Here are some examples of user complaints on the forums:
“There are lots of bugs in one UI 4, like when you open the app drawer, the background blur goes away, same with the side panel. Also, the animations are very slow, and the typing sounds change frequently from one to another. Brightness also increases and decreases again and again. When searching for refresh rate on settings, nothing comes up. When connecting the charger when the screen is off, the charging animation is very sluggish and runs at 30fps instead of 120. ”
“I have recently updated my galaxy A52s with android 12 andOne UI 4.0. I am facing so many issues, the camera is not working well and sometimes the phone is hanging and battery drains faster with 60hz also.”
There are several open discussions on Samsung’s forums about it but, for the moment, the company has not officially pronounced itself; wanting to be hopeful, it could be working to release a fix that remedies the above problems, perhaps at the same time as the release of the security patches which at the moment are those of February 2022.
In any case, if you are the owner of a Galaxy A52s 5G and you have not yet upgraded to One UI 4.0, for the avoidance of doubt, you should delay a little while waiting for Samsung to solve the aforementioned problems.
