RedGamingTech released some early revelations about the PS5 Pro today, saying that it will be released at the end of 2023 or 2024 and will bring significant performance improvements.
According to reports, the PS5 Pro is 2x the original in standard raster and 2.5x in ray tracing and will provide a better experience for PlayStation VR games. The report also claims that the PS5 Pro uses a different super-resolution technology than AMD’s FSR 2.0, a new technology based on Sony’s own research. In terms of hardware, the PS5 Pro will be equipped with a 5nm or 4nm process SOC.
The current Sony PS5 host is equipped with a 3.5GHz AMD Zen2 octa-core processor, GPU is RDNA2 architecture, 2304 stream processor, 10.3 teraflops single-precision floating-point performance, equipped with 16GB GDDR6 memory/video memory, with 825GB SSD.
