At this point, we would like to give you a little tip on how to quickly change the keyboard brightness on the iPad. Of course, this assumes that you have an appropriate iPad and a Magic Keyboard at hand. Normally, the keyboard illumination regulates itself via a sensor. Alternatively, you can set the brightness manually in the settings of the hardware keyboard.
However, with the release of iPadOS 15.4, it is also possible to place the controller for this control in the control center. That’s the settings gimmick you see when you swipe down on the top right of the iPad’s display (see screenshot at top). You can add your own shortcuts – like setting the keyboard backlight.
And this then works as follows: Go to the settings of the iPad in the Control Center area. Then click on the “Keyboard Brightness” icon and add it to the included controls. If you now open the control center, you can quickly change the brightness. Leave your finger on the icon and you will immediately see a slider to adjust the brightness.
