The next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto 5 has been available for several days, therefore specialized channels such as ElAnalistaDeBits have had all the time available to analyze the technical sector and compare the different editions.
In the Video Analysis attached at the opening of the news, you can view the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S versions side by side, with the PC edition used as a reference. On the two main next-generation consoles, GTA 5 aims at the same resolution and framerate targets in the three different graphics modes: Fidelity (4K at 30fps), Performance (1440p at 60fps) and Performance RT (1440p dynamic at 60fps with ray tracing applied to the shadows ).
On Xbox Series S, where ray tracing is not contemplated, there are only two graphics modes: Fidelity (1440p at 30fps) and Performance (1080p at 60fps).
Compared to the now old PC edition, the new versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X feature better shadows, ambient occlusion and lighting. On PC the game still defends well with asset viewing distance and vegetation density. Generally speaking, the new next-gen versions have a preset comparable to the Ultra on the PC.
As part of the individual console versions, ElAnalistaDeBits crowns the one for PlayStation 5, which offers a clearly more stable framerate than its counterpart. On both Xbox Series X and Series S, there are drops in the most crowded and demanding game situations for the graphics engine. More details can be found in the video attached at the opening of the news.
