Apps in the Microsoft Store come from both Microsoft itself and third-party developers. In recognition of those well-made apps, Microsoft is inviting nominations today and has released a form where you can nominate your favorite apps in the store. This nomination is only for third-party apps, though, and if you have some first-party Microsoft apps, at least for now, you’ll have to praise them only in the reviews section of the store.
Microsoft has established a standard for applications eligible for nomination:
- Must be publicly available on Windows ‘ Microsoft Store by the end of March
- Must be 100% functional on Windows 11, not just on Windows 10
- Must have a 3.5-star rating or higher with at least 50 rating entries
- Must have released or received significant meaningful updates within the past 12 months

Nominations of multiple applications are also permitted, but for this, a separate form must be filled out for each application. You can submit your nominees until March 31 at 12:00 AM PT. Also keep in mind that this is a nomination form, not a voting form, and final selections may be released shortly.
