Renders of the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite surfaced last week, and now we’ve got some details about the device via regulators and other sources. A device with model number GN2200 is suspected to be the phone, and it just passed the FCC certification.
It shows 5G connectivity (bands: 2, 25, 41, 66, 71) and appears to be powered by a Snapdragon chipset rather than the Dimensity chipset like the other two Nord 2 models. Enter “GN2200” into the Geekbench database to see its basic specifications.
The Snapdragon chipset used in the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is either the Snapdragon 480+ chipset or the Snapdragon 695. Both seem to use the same codename (“holi”), but the 695 uses newer CPU cores (based on the A78 instead of the A76) and the full-blooded Adreno 619 (compared to the 619L). Given the Geekbench score, we think it’s 695. Regardless of the chipset, the phone runs Android and has 6GB of RAM.
Separately, TUV Rheinland’s certification revealed that the phone has a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The charger outputs 5-11V at 3A. That’s the same battery capacity as the Nord CE 2, but at half the power. Another source provided information about the camera. The main module has a 64-megapixel, 1/1.8-inch sensor (0.7-micron pixels, f/1.7 aperture and electronic image stabilization camera.
Three camera modules can be seen on the back in the renders, but current information suggests that the other two are a depth sensor and a macro camera. The selfie camera is expected to feature a 16-megapixel sensor. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite sports a 6.6-inch display.
