Well, that went really well. We just reported that changes had been made to the timeline on Twitter and that the chronological timeline can no longer be selected as the standard but can be accessed via a swipe gesture, so now everything is back to how it was before.
Twitter said they had listened to user feedback and deactivated the function even faster than the stories function at the time. To be honest, I didn’t really like the new timeline design either, and I’ve always been a fan of chronology.
We’re still experimenting with other options, so I guess we shouldn’t rely on the display staying the way it is just yet.
