On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Nintendo Switch, the Japanese magazine Famitsu has made a report on the best-selling games for the Nintendo console in Japan, thus revealing a ranking of the 35 most popular titles and the number of copies sold.
Something similar had been published on the occasion of the fourth anniversary, however with similar results for most of the positions, demonstrating how many games actually continue to sell a lot even after many years.
Here is the ranking of the 35 best-selling games in Japan on the Nintendo Switch in its 5-year history, so far:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate remain in the top two positions exactly as they did a year ago, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe even rose to the podium five years after its release.
However, there are several recent releases that have managed to quickly climb the overall rankings such as Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
