After Lost Ark landed on Steam and opened to Europe and the United States, it was announced that the first major update will be launched within this month, focusing on weakening the late game, including reducing the difficulty of later content such as Abyss Dungeon and Guardian Raid and adding a new name A new event for Abyss Raid. The update is live now and is 5.9 GB in size. In addition to the changes, a new limited-time event has been added to the game: Races.
The event will only last for one month, and players can enter the Arkesia Grand Prix Race once a day at the start of any even-numbered hour – you must be on time for that time. This game transforms you into a naruni, an adorable little triceratops creature from The Lost Ark, and pits you in a ring race in one of two teams of seven.
To participate in this event, players need to be at least level 50. Talk to the Arkesia Grand Prix Manager in your nearest major city center and they will be highlighted on the map with a pink exclamation point. It should be noted that players can only participate once per event.
The update also adds a new set of skins to Lost Ark. The skin is called “Omen Suit” and looks a bit like the Reaper in Overwatch. The Deluxe Special Pack also includes wallpaper for the character selection screen and amount called the Ghost Horse. It will go on sale for the next 35 days, and the April update will likely go live after it’s gone.
Bug fixes mentioned in the full patch notes, including a fix for the client, becoming unresponsive after switching to full-screen mode and then switching windows, as well as gamepad support issues.
The patch notes also mention that the first season of competitive play will take place in the Arena later this month. Wins and losses in Team Deathmatch will be tracked in the player’s average competitive match score and the higher the score, the better the player’s reward at the end of the season. Anyone who reaches level 1 at the proving grounds can enter. More details, including the launch date, have not yet been announced.
