After having released a few days ago, following a short beta testing phase, Android 12L for compatible devices, the source code has become available for the Android Open Source Project, giving developers the opportunity to cook the first Android-based ROMs 12L.
Thanks to the developer of the XDA forum phhusson, the first GSI (Generic System Image) rom based on Android 12L is now available, and therefore compatible with all smartphones that support Project Treble, i.e. most of those equipped with a version of the robot higher than the 8.
One of the most noteworthy innovations, already introduced by the same developer in the GSI version of Android 12, is the support for OTA updates; after the first installation, it will therefore be necessary to simply wait for future updates, without having to reinstall the rom from the beginning.
