Over the next few weeks, Vivo should also register its name on the list of brands ready to launch at least one flagship on the market and, in the case of the Chinese giant, there would be two smartphones ready to debut on the market: the Vivo X80 Pro and the Vivo X80 Pro Plus.
As per tradition, on the occasion of the approach of the launch date of a smartphone, the two devices became the protagonists of an important leak by the informant Shadow Leak who, through his Twitter profile, revealed the complete technical specifications, leaving little or nothing to the imagination.
Vivo X80 Pro Plus: here are the complete specifications
Let’s start with the Vivo X80 Pro Plus, the spearhead of the Vivo family, which should show off a 6.78-inch QHD + Amoled panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and LTPO 2.0 technology capable of guaranteeing a dynamic refresh rate, a bit ‘as seen on the Samsung Galaxy S22 .
The processor chosen is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC available in 6/8/12 GB LPDDR5 RAM cuts coupled with 128/256/512 GB UFC 3.1 internal memory configurations. The photographic sector should be the real highlight of the house thanks to a configuration with four sensors of which: a 50 MP Samsung GN1 main sensor (with opening f / 1.3 and OIS), a 48 MP ultra-wide angle sensor, one from 12 MP with optical zoom and a 12 MP periscope sensor with “Hybrid” zoom capability up to 60x. Frontally the smartphone should mount a 44 MP sensor.
The entire sector should be assisted by the V1 processor, the first ISP processor made by Vivo dedicated to imaging. In addition, the Chinese giant will rely on Zeiss for color calibration on the cameras of the Vivo X80 Pro and Pro Plus. The Vivo X80 Pro Plus will also be powered by a 4700mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The general picture of the technical characteristics is completed by the IP68 certification and the presence of Android 12 on board.
Moving on to the Vivo X80 Pro, according to the rumors, the differences with the Plus model are few but significant. The Vivo X80 Pro’s display is expected to maintain the same refresh rate and Amoled technology as its big brother but would switch to FHD + resolution and should not enjoy LTPO 2.0 technology.
The processor of the X80 Pro is expected to be a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and only configurations of 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage should be available. In the photographic field, the quadruple configuration would be maintained but the main sensor should go from the Samsung GN1, present in the Vivo X80 Pro Plus, to the Sony IMX789 (with opening f / 1.4 and OIS).
The battery would remain unchanged between the two models as well as the operating system onboard. According to leaked information, the two devices should debut on the market in April at a price of 6499 ( approximately 928 euros at the exchange rate) and 5699 Chinese yuan ( 813.88 euros ) respectively.
