Samsung’s new generation of flagship mobile phone Galaxy S22 series has been officially launched recently. As usual, Samsung has released the kernel source code of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series uses the Exynos 2200 chip in Europe and a few Asian regions, while the other regions use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Samsung has released the mobile phone kernel source code for the Exynos 2200 version and is expected to release the kernel source code for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version in the near future to meet the GPLv2 license requirements for the Linux kernel.

Developers can go to the Samsung Open Source Release Center to view and download the kernel source code for the Galaxy S22 (SM-S901B), Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906B) and Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908B).

Samsung Galaxy S22 series is pre-installed with the One UI 4.1 system, and the kernel source code is based on Android 12. It is expected that TWRP, custom kernels, custom ROMs will appear in the near future, but users will first need to unlock the bootloader.
