A spokesman for the streaming video giant Netflix said on Sunday that the company has suspended service in Russia. Earlier this week, Netflix suspended all future projects and acquisitions in Russia to assess the impact of Russia’s military campaign against Ukraine.
Considering the local situation, we have decided to suspend service in Russia, a Netflix spokesperson said. Netflix has also previously said it has no plans to add Russian state-owned channels to its Russian service, despite regulations requiring it to distribute Russian state-owned channels.
