As one of the highest-quality games in history, the material library of “Microsoft Flight Simulation” is quite large, and it also puts forward very high requirements on the player’s terminal device configuration.
However, with the blessing of xCloud cloud streaming function, a relatively ordinary PC (or Xbox One game console) can easily drive it. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not introduced support for keyboard and mouse operations for it, which means that players can only interact through handle/touch.
The good news is that this is about to change, Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulation, revealed during a video Q&A. Of course, this also means that theoretically any Xbox cloud game can be controlled with a keyboard and mouse.
As platform-level feature support, it has little to do with the Microsoft Flight Simulation team. But the Xbox cloud game provides keyboard and mouse operation options, and Microsoft Flight Simulation will not be left behind.
The various platform teams are currently working on this, and while Jorg Neumann can’t give an exact date, it should be coming soon, and they’re also discussing touch-based interactions.
If all goes well, players can expect to receive the feature update as early as this summer — not in the next few weeks, but in the next few months (more likely around June).
It seems that Microsoft has indeed heard the voice of the majority of gamers, especially when you experience xCloud on your mobile phone, it is also expected to control the inclination of the aircraft through the gyroscope, so as to obtain a more immersive gaming experience.
