The in-depth studies dedicated to the smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series continue to follow one another on the Net and in the past few hours, the time for iFixit teardown has also arrived.
In particular, the iFixit staff has decided to devote themselves to Samsung Galaxy S22 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra at the same time, thus allowing us to find out how the various components are positioned inside the body of the new devices of the Korean giant.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series was torn apart by iFixit
As always happens, iFixit disassembly also includes X-ray images of smartphones and then you can look at the Ultra model and the basic one:
And here are the two smartphones in the “normal” version, with all the components in place after the rear body has been removed:
Regarding repairability, the score assigned by the iFixit staff is 3 out of 10, noting that replacing the battery is a rather complicated operation (and you will have to face the difficulties generated by using a very resistant adhesive) and that to ensure the well-finished design, the Korean manufacturer had to sacrifice aspects such as the ease of replacing important components such as the screen.
Furthermore, the iFixit staff points out that at the time of the disassembly of the two smartphones, the Korean giant has not yet made available to interested parties a free public service manual for the two devices in question.
At this point we just have to leave you to the video that shows the disassembly procedure of Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra and wish you a good view:
