Rumors tell us that 2022 will be a year full of news for OnePlus, first of all for the next launch of the OnePlus Nord 3. On the other hand, if the brand managed to record a growth of + 524% it is also and above all thanks to the products of the Nord family, designed to expand it to the more typically mainstream market.
A strategy that I explained to you in detail in the editorial is “The startup trap” and that demonstrates how OnePlus’s intentions have changed since the beginning. Despite this, it seems that the future Nord 3 could surprise the most tech enthusiastic users.
OnePlus Nord 3’s charging may be the fastest around
We already know that OnePlus and Realme will be carriers of OPPO’s new Super VOOC fast charging technology, capable of reaching 150W. And if in the case of Realme we already know which model will implement it, OnePlus has remained more on its own, without revealing exactly the name of the phone. But thanks to the rumors that are circulating, it would seem that this would be OnePlus Nord 3.
If so, it would be a significant step forward for the Nord series, considering that Nord 2 stopped at “only” 65W. OnePlus Nord 3 would even surpass the OnePlus 10 Pro and its 80W charging power, although the top of the range boasts wireless charging.
It remains to find out the amperage of the battery, considering that the OPPO tests tell us only 15 minutes to fully charge a 4,500 mAh. Not to mention the interesting Battery Health Engine technology: here you will find all the technical details.
Speaking of timing, OnePlus and OPPO have confirmed that the first OnePlus smartphone with 150W Super VOOC charging will arrive in Q2 2022. Nothing to do, therefore, for the rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra, whose debut is becoming more and more nebulous.
