Google is rolling out more innovations for Messages. After the new inbox appeared for more and more users, a function for birthdays is now being added.
Here, Google cleverly combines the fact that the app reminds you of the birthdays of your contacts. And because you are currently in Messages, you should of course send your congratulations directly within the app.
There are already the first screenshots of the news reports.
Google Messages is rolling out birthday reminders for your contacts. This feature can be toggled in settings > Suggestions > Nudges.
I have this on one of my devices but not all (running the same version), so it’s yet another server-side update.

It’s probably a server-side update. This means that the innovation is not available to all devices and users at the same time. And it doesn’t necessarily help to have the very latest app version installed.
