Some time ago we reported to you about planned innovations in Google Messages. This includes automatic categorization of incoming messages. Transactions, offers, one-time passwords, etc.
The automatic organization of our messages should provide a better overview, just as we already know from Gmail and Co. Various inboxes are displayed at the top of the screen. And of course, there is also an area that shows all the messages.
Google Messages seems to finally be rolling out message categories and auto OTP deletion to more regions! I’m in the U.S. and now see message organization settings.
These features were initially only available to users in India: https://t.co/IBwA5HBHVn pic.twitter.com/UBJEQzRuEQ

Google is now starting to roll out the new function in other markets, according to our American colleagues, for example. The function has been available in India in the Messages app since last year. To date there is exclusive. So far, however, it is not clear to us whether German users will also benefit from the rollout.
