Apple has added a new Siri voice to its latest version of its iOS operating system, which is marked in Apple’s official explanation as neither male nor female. It is reported that last year, Apple began to provide Siri voice options from black voice actors, and now it has begun to provide Siri with neutral voice options.
In an official statement to the media, Apple said:
We’re excited to introduce a new Siri voice for English-speaking users, giving users more choices when it comes to choosing the voice to speak to them.
Millions of users around the world rely on Siri to help them do their jobs every day, so we’ve worked hard to make the experience of this feature as personal as possible.
Apple’s iOS 15.4 beta version was officially released to developers and the public on Tuesday, with a new “Option 5” appearing on the Siri user interface menu, according to reports.
Siri, which once used a female voice by default, now lets users choose their preferred voice. In addition, Apple told the media that Siri’s new neutral voice was recorded by a “neutral” staff member, but did not provide further details.
