The Korean giant has recently launched its new Samsung Galaxy S22 range and, considering the brand’s new and welcome policy regarding updates, many owners of the S21 series are wondering when they will receive the latest version of the proprietary One UI 4.1 interface: now thanks to a Verizon representative, we know a little more about it.
The Galaxy S21 series could receive One UI 4.1 by the end of February
According to what was reported by a user of PiunikaWeb, who consulted Verizon customer service regarding the update in question, this could arrive by the end of the current month; in the image you can see below, a screenshot of the conversation, you can see how to the user’s question “When, will the Galaxy S21 series receive One UI 4.1?” customer service replies “From the information I have checked you will receive it by the end of this month”.
The month of February is now running out, so if the information released by the operator’s customer service were correct, it would be very short; moreover, it is worth considering that the previous Galaxy S20 series received the One UI 3.1 shortly after the release of the S21 series, it is, therefore, plausible that Samsung wants to reserve the same treatment now, also by virtue of the aforementioned new policy on updates (we remember in fact that the company has declared for the S21 and S22 series from 3 to 4 years of system updates, and from 4 to 5 years for the security patch).
In any case, it should be shortly before the release of the latest version of the One UI for the Galaxy S21 series
