The world of Android modding is no longer as popular as in previous years but, in any case, there are many users who still love to “play” with the various custom ROMs that occasionally churns out the community of developers that revolves around the ‘OS from Google and LineageOS is undoubtedly one of those with the highest following.
One of the reasons for the great success of LineageOS is represented by the support for always new devices and so in the last few hours, the 18.1 version of this ROM has landed on some other five devices.
LineageOS 18.1 also arrives on these smartphones and tablets
The official builds of LineageOS 18.1 based on Android 11 are now also available for the following devices:
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite/Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G/Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G – Codename Gauguin – Maintainers Lynnrin (link)
- Motorola Moto G100 – Codename nio – Maintainers dianlujitao (link)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite – Codename gts4xl – Maintainers haggertk and Linux4 (link)
By clicking on the links corresponding to the various devices you will be taken to the Wiki page, where the ROM in .zip format and the instructions for flashing are available. Users interested in trying the ROM will need an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery (such as TWRP).
Furthermore, it must be borne in mind that LineageOS cannot count on pre-installed Google Apps and, therefore, users who do not want to do without them will have to flash them after installing the custom ROM.
Recall that recently the LineageOS developer team announced that they have decided to abandon support for LineageOS 17.1 and started work on version 19, which will be based on Android 12.
At the moment, however, there is no official information on when this new release will be ready and will be made available to all interested users. We are sure, however, that fans eager to try LineageOS 19 will already be quite numerous.
