Since Windows 10, the taskbar has a fixed search box by default, allowing users to easily search their local files or folders, but the speed is really slow compared to third-party search software, and the search results are not very satisfactory.
Now, Microsoft is optimizing its own search. On Windows 11 Build 22557 in the Developer Channel program, although there are no changes to the interface, users with early access are finding that search results are now displayed faster than before.
In addition to faster results, you can also get the more accurate app or file suggestions when you type keywords into the search box. Microsoft also fixed a bug that prevented users from finding the new software in search results for the first few seconds after installing the software.
In addition to Windows Search, Microsoft has also begun experimenting with new features for the Start menu. With this release, you can create and manage folders to customize your pins in Start.
To use, simply drag one app over another and a new folder will appear. Currently, there is no way to name folders, but Microsoft has promised to add support for folder names in a future release.
