The software updates for Android smartphones we are talking about today involve two Samsung smartphones and one OPPO, but it is the latter, despite being in the minority, that deserves the cover and the most attention: the excellent OPPO Find X3 Neo is receiving Italy the major update to ColorOS 12. Let’s find out immediately all the news about these new software updates.
OPPO Find X3 Neo: the news of the update
As anticipated at the beginning – and as can also be seen from the screenshot below – OPPO Find X3 Neo is finally making the leap to the renewed ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 .
Since this is a major update, it is not surprising that the OTA file being rolled out is 4.13 GB in size. The wording Official version confirms that we are not dealing with a beta release, but directly with a stable build. The security patches on board are those of January 2022 and the firmware version implemented is CPH2207_11_C.43.
As for all the news of ColorOS 12, which touch both the graphic and functional profile – from the Infinite design of OPPO to the Android 12-style theme system, passing through the improvements in fluidity, the optimizations to wear out less memory and battery and extend its useful life, the Quantum Animation Engine and the news in terms of privacy – we refer you to our dedicated article of the first beta. Don’t forget to take a look at the official Q1 2022 roadmap to find out which other models will be updated within the first quarter of the year.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, Samsung Galaxy A52: the news of the updates
Samsung has recently announced a new enhancement to its software support strategy and is a virtually permanent presence in every update collection. Also today there are two models of the South Korean manufacturer that stand out: Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and Samsung Galaxy A52.
We had already talked to you in recent days about the release of the security patches of February 2022 (also) for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series and now the time has come to complete the speech: the same update results in the rollout, starting from Switzerland, also for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G model.
The firmware version introduced is the N976BXXS7GVB1 and there is no further news – on the other hand, the entire series has recently moved to Android 12 with the One UI 4.0.
The same software update was also released for the popular Samsung Galaxy A52 mid-range model: the firmware version A525FXXU4BVB3 only carries the security patches of February 2022 and is currently being distributed in the following markets: Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, UAE, Tunisia.
For all the details of this month’s SMR (Security Maintenance Release) – and for the models that will receive it, here it is sufficient to remember that between the Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) and the CVE of Android we arrive at a total of over 60 fixed vulnerabilities.
