To mark the 75th anniversary of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Apple subsidiary Beats by Dre has announced a limited-edition Powerbeats Pro. The headphones were made in partnership with Canadian brand Better, which describes itself as a “gift shop for fictional museums.” They feature red and blue ear tips, a white design, and the NBA logo printed on the side.
Speaking of the special headphones, Beats wrote: “The latest collaboration between Beats and the NBA brings nostalgia and timeless quality, creating a special edition set of Powerbeats with Canadian brand and retailer Better Gift Shop. Pro”.
The first Powerbeats Pro launched in 2019. These wireless Bluetooth headphones feature a fitness-focused design and Apple’s H1 chip. While a full-fledged accessory, the Powerbeats Pro still packs good audio quality and AirPods-like ease-of-use features with Apple’s ecosystem.
Apple’s Beats brand is the official headphone partner of the NBA. The Beats and the NBA signed a multi-year deal back in 2018, with the two entities collaborating on NBA team-branded headphones and other projects.
Customers can order the NBA x Better Powerbeats Pro on the Beats website starting Saturday, February 19 at 9 a.m. PT. They retail for $249.
