OnePlus will introduce a new device in the Nord series tomorrow, the OnePlus Nord CE 2. This is also coming to Germany. And according to MySmartPrice, the brand has many more Nord models planned for 2022, but there is no specific number.
However, one also notices that many of the Nord models are perhaps only intended for India, after all, OnePlus is currently trying to build up a larger market share there. The Nord range is selling well though, so there are more.
Planned new wearables from OnePlus
In addition to new smartphones and a possible OnePlus 10 Ultra in the second half of the year, there will also be new gadgets. Underneath is said to be a new OnePlus band. The first generation was shown in January a year ago.
And there’s more to come because a new OnePlus Watch is also planned for 2022. The first smartwatch from OnePlus came out in March 2021, so we could see the new generation again in the spring – there are no details.
I’m sticking with it and I hope that OnePlus uses Wear OS, since the OS of the watch is very limited in terms of functions. Last year, the rather poor battery life was cited as a reason against Wear OS, but in 2020 it was also confirmed that Google is working on Wear OS. So do you rely on Wear OS 3.0? We’ll see, the sister brand Oppo relies on Wear OS after all.
