A few years ago we already saw a megapixel race and the push for a logo from well-known camera brands on smartphones and this is exactly what has happened again for a few months. And Oppo is now joining in.
Oppo grabs Hasselblad
Shortly before the announcement of the Oppo Find X5 series, which will probably take place as part of the MWC in a few days, the partnership with Hasselblad was officially confirmed. Both will work together on cameras for three years.
We will see the first result with the upcoming Find X device, but that was certainly clear to hard-working readers: inside since almost all the details are now circulating on the net and the Hasselblad branding can be seen on press photos.
And the step doesn’t come as a surprise, since OnePlus entered into a partnership with Hasselblad a year ago and has officially belonged to Oppo since the summer. So why not use the Hasselblad branding here too.
OPPO and Hasselblad will now work together to further develop advanced imaging solutions through R&D collaboration, which aims to provide users with more natural colors and a more refined imaging experience. Leveraging Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad, OPPO also targets to bring the most natural skin tone possible to its portrait photography.
