Samsung previously launched a feature called RAM Plus, similar to Xiaomi’s memory expansion feature, which can increase the amount of RAM available on Galaxy phones, using 4GB of storage space as virtual memory.
Samsung has brought the RAM Plus feature to several of its devices, and it’s a very useful feature. Samsung released the Galaxy S22 series last night. These new phones run Android 12 -based One UI 4.1 out of the box. One UI 4.1 is A small upgrade to One UI 4.0. And in One UI 4.1, Samsung made a big change to RAM Plus.
RAM Plus works by using phone storage to expand the amount of memory, similar to how Windows allocates a portion of disk storage as virtual memory when physical memory is low.
Since the introduction of RAM Plus, it can only use 4GB of storage to increase the virtual memory of Samsung devices, there is no other option. One UI 4.1 solves this problem.
Sammobile found the RAM Plus feature option on Samsung’s latest S22 flagship. RAM Plus can now use 2GB, 4GB, 6GB or even 8GB of storage space to expand the memory. Since this is a One UI 4.1 function, it is expected that other models will support it later.
