According to reports, the US electric car maker Tesla recently used LinkedIn to recruit talents for the painting team of its Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany. Musk has said many times before that the spray shop at the Berlin Gigafactory will be the most technologically advanced of its kind in the world.
Some of the positions recruited by the Tesla Berlin Gigafactory spraying team are as follows:
- Plastics Process Engineer
- Maintenance Automation Engineer
- Automation and equipment engineer
- Spraying process equipment manufacturing engineer
- Maintenance Technician
The employee’s Tesla recruited this time can be described as “full of benefits”. The first is a salary that is competitive with its German counterparts, including Tesla shares or bonuses. There are also some regular benefits, including a pension plan, 30 days of vacation and insurance.
Notably, Tesla also provides relocation and commuting support for employees at the Berlin Gigafactory. The company has purchased a train commuter line to make it easier for employees to get to the factory. Musk said at last year’s Giga Fest that Tesla employees can start work in a number of ways.
“It’s a 30-minute train ride from the Berlin Gigafactory,” Musk said. “We actually need to build a train station. Ironically, a car company needs to use trains to transport employees to work. You can take the train. And of course, you can drive your own car.”
According to the Tagesspiegel, the Chancellor of the German state of Brandenburg, Dietmar Wojdek, announced that Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory already has 2,500 employees. Tesla’s workforce could see an even bigger increase once it receives final approval from the State Office of Environment for the plant construction project.
