On the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, some users shared a new video of Tesla Cybertruck. The video is likely from the Gigafactory in Texas, where Tesla plans to build these large trucks. In this video, the Cybertruck’s exterior is clearly shown, showing the full appearance of the vehicle’s prototype, complete with odd wipers and a special surprise: no door handles.
The total length of the video is over 3 minutes, without sound, but with hilarious subtitles that make up for the lack of audio. It may have been filmed by factory employees, but the video could also have been filmed by tourists wearing protective gear. Someone in the captioned video said: “Man, tell Elon he’s doing too much”. Probably referring to Cybertruck’s over-engineering.
The polygonal-looking, ultra-durable vehicle presented polarized reviews, with some adoring it and some loathing it. It’s hard to deny the Cybertruck’s design has a futuristic feel, but Tesla does promise it will be a formidable vehicle built with endurance, strength, and passenger protection in mind.
No Handle
The Cybertruck prototype in the video does not have any door handles, prompting the person who recorded the video to appear to have an explanation. According to the subtitles, simply tapping one of the Cybertruck’s sensors with a phone or key fob will cause the doors to open. This sounds cool, but if something breaks it can be a problem.
Huge Wipers
The wipers look so impractical that some users openly hope it won’t be part of the final product. In December 2021, Elon Musk tweeted that he also doesn’t like the wiper design.
Dimensions
Another thing that many users have commented on is the size of the truck, many prefer it to look slimmer. However, the stainless steel finish and odd shape proved less popular, with one person in the video even comparing it to a refrigerator. Of course, this is just a prototype, and things could change when the vehicle hits the market.
