The announcement came along with other news regarding The Contract and the next-gen version of GTA 5 and Online, whose debut is set for next March 15th. In particular, the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions will offer resolution support up to 4K and 60 fps, texture and draw distance improvements, support for ray tracing and all the features of the new consoles, such as 3D audio, feedback. improved haptic and faster loading.
Rockstar also confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to take their progress from both GTA 5 and GTA Online with them and that a standalone version of the online component will also be available on March 15, offered free for 3 months to PS5 users. In short, this should be the last time that GTA 5 is disturbed: the future of the series is now mapped out.
