This is certainly not how Google imagined the first few months after the market launch of the Pixel 6 series. With the next update, however, you can smooth the waves further. But the pressure on the developers should be enormous at the moment.
First updates came later, then they were also massively buggy. With a further delay, Google was able to avert the worst damage in January. Or maybe not quite? Although there are also many satisfied users, the Pixel 6 smartphones are currently under special scrutiny. One week before the next update, the pressure is higher than ever before.
This update has to sit and be there on time
In the last few days, it has already been said that the February update for the Pixel 6 models will be released at the same time as the other devices. That would be a welcome first for the current Android flagships.
In this update, however, there must also be some bug fixes to increase the mood of many Pixel 6 users again. And of course, no further fatal error should happen. Like the network issues in the December update, for example.
Three restless months and it’s not all settled yet
In any case, I have hope that after the bumpy start everything will be on the right track. Google will provide the February update immediately and it makes the devices better. In the meantime, I’m hoping for a bug fix for the camera app, which still often stutters on the regular Pixel 6.
And automatic screen brightness control still has its pitfalls, but not just since the Pixel 6 generation. It is now officially known from Google that they want to fix touchscreen errors. That could be the case with the February update but hasn’t been definitively confirmed to date.
In any case, I persevered and lived with the existing mistakes. Now I would like another positive update to fully enjoy my Pixel 6 again.
