Following OPPO and Samsung, digital blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that Xiaomi is working on the MIX Fold 2 and shared some details about the device. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will be the successor to the original MIX Fold launched in March last year. The technology media 91Mobile took stock of the current information related to the aircraft.
According to the grapevine, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will be equipped with an 8-inch AM OLED display with a resolution of 2.5K and may support a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship processor. Earlier, we found news that the MIX Fold 2 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8xx series chip, a 5000mAh battery, and a 108-megapixel camera module.
A Xiaomi patent spotted by Phonearena suggests that the foldable smartphone will support a stylus. The patent may be about Xiaomi MIX Fold 2. The hybrid foldable has an 8-inch display and can be thought of as a mini-tablet. Now, stylus support on the device could give the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 some serious competition.
In addition, Xiaomi is also rumored to be working on a top-to-bottom folding smartphone. But no information on the features and specifications of the smartphone has appeared online yet. Last year, a Xiaomi patent application was discovered at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), showing a flip smartphone with a similar folding mechanism to the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3.
