After the release of Xiaomi Mi 12 series smartphones, rumors about the new MIX 5 Pro also began to surface. For example, earlier this month, @Rodent950 announced on Twitter that it would be renamed from Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra to MIX 5 Pro. Referring to previous years, the company is expected to launch two new MIX 5 products in March 2022, and the positioning of MIX 5 Pro is higher than the standard version.
Although the official name of the new phone has not yet been finalized, some related spy photos and mobile phone cases have been leaked. It can be seen that the device is expected to use a completely redesigned and quite large rear camera module.
In order to give everyone a better understanding of the conceptual design of the new phone, LetsGoDigital once again teamed up with graphic designer Parvez Khan (aka Technizo Concept) to produce a series of high-definition renderings.
Combined with the known information, this set of concept renderings is mainly presented in black and gray colors. After the MIX 4 took the lead in adopting the hidden camera under the screen, the MIX 5 Pro will obviously follow this design.
The forward-looking design without punch holes or bangs can bring a more beautiful full-screen experience. As for the exact specifications of the under-screen camera, it is currently unknown. However, it is reported that Xiaomi seems to have further perfected the under-screen camera technology.
If the MIX 5 Pro’s front-facing sensor can be greatly increased from 20MP to 48MP and can collect enough light to shoot high-quality photos/video recordings, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 may be in a rather embarrassing situation (only 4MP).
The MIX 5 Pro flagship smartphone in the rendering has quite rounded, symmetrical and eye-catching edges on the screen. NotebookCheck revealed earlier that the machine may use a 6.73-inch @ WQHD+ resolution AM OLED screen.
In addition to the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass, this panel is also expected to support advanced features such as 120Hz high brush, HDR10 / Dolby Vision, and the peak brightness is also expected to reach 1500 nits.
Turning to the back of the fuselage, the circular rear camera module with the red Leica logo is somewhat similar in style to the Honor Magic 3 series. The main camera is expected to be 50MP @ Samsung ISOCell GN5 with Dual Pixel Pro autofocus (successor to ISOCell GN2 on Mi 11 Ultra).
There is also a 48MP ultra-wide-angle sub-camera + 48MP periscope telephoto @ 5X optical zoom lens. As for the fourth sensor in the top center, the details are not yet known (maybe it will be the second zoom lens). In addition, there is an unknown camera (or sensor) next to it, as well as a triple LED flash (refer to Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra).
