Call of Duty: Warzone has been plagued by cheating since its release. Although Activision has launched a new anti-cheat system RICOCHET, it has little effect, and there are even cheaters who mock the anti-cheat system. And recently, Activision seems to have quietly launched a new anti-cheating mechanism. If the system determines that a player is cheating, the damage caused by him will be significantly reduced.
This new anti-cheat mechanism appears to detect if a player is unusually accurate and then adjusts the damage the player deals with, regardless of the weapon they’re using. A video on Twitter shows how the mechanism works. In the video, foreign anchor JoeWo met a cheater. He was shot several times, but his blood volume was almost not reduced. In the end, JoeWo defeated the cheater. He said: He beat me more than 50 times, and I have no less blood.
In another video circulating on the Internet, a cheater was forced to quit the game by the new mechanism. This is a Facebook streamer who has directly admitted to cheating. In the video, it can be seen that the damage caused by his weapon is significantly lower than the normal level, it takes a lot of guns to kill the opponent, and then his cheating software seems to have a problem and cannot take effect in the game.
After a series of deaths, the cheating anchor finally “angrily” withdrew from the game. In theory, this system gives the average player a huge and well-deserved advantage. However, some Call of Duty: Warzone players are concerned that the system won’t be able to distinguish between gifted players and cheaters, as the new mechanic appears to be based on weapon hit rate.
