According to the latest report, from the latest satellite photos, Tesla seems to be expanding the solar panels in the Nevada super factory. In the summer of 2021, Tesla said it had installed 3.2 megawatts of solar power, and at the time narrowed the 70MW target to 24MW. However, the company said it remains confident of building the world’s largest rooftop solar array.

The satellite photo on the left in the image below was taken in September 2021 and on the right on January 12, 2022. It can be seen that the area of the solar cell plate is significantly larger. So far, no official plans have been announced.

Tesla’s Nevada Gigafactory has been producing power batteries, transmission systems, etc. Tesla and Panasonic have set up production lines at the factory to manufacture lithium batteries for Tesla. These batteries are not only used in Model series cars, but also in energy storage devices such as Powerpack, PowerWall, Megapack.
