In December 2021, Xbox Series X/S sold over 1 million units in the UK. December 2021 was the strongest month for the Xbox Series X/S since its UK launch in November 2020, as Microsoft significantly increased the supply of the Xbox Series X console.
According to data released by the statistics agency GFK on the foreign media GamesIndustry.biz, of the 560,000 game consoles sold in December 2021 (with a turnover of nearly 200 million pounds), Nintendo Switch occupies the first place, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S No. 1 Second, compared to November 2021, sales have soared by 108%. The Sony PS5 slipped to third place, but was still relatively successful, with sales up 28% compared to November.
It is worth mentioning that the milestone of Sony PS5 reaching 1 million units in the UK was in August last year, 4 months earlier than the Xbox, and it took only 39 weeks.
