There have been rumors that this year’s iPhone 14 will have major changes in design, completely abandoning the bangs design and switching to a punch-hole solution. There is also news that Apple wants to increase the price of the iPhone 14 series and reflect the optimized design. Over the past three generations, Apple’s iPhone prices have remained relatively stable.
In 2019, Apple launched the 128GB iPhone 11 mini for $ 699, the iPhone 11 for $799, the iPhone 11 Pro for $999, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max for $1,099. A year later, Apple raised the price of the unlocked iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 to $729 and $829, respectively. Prices for the four iPhone 13 models remained the same last fall.
Despite Apple’s dominance, it has to work hard to stay competitive. It faces competition from Samsung, Google, one plus increased competition (OnePlus) and other companies, as well as a more affordable all the equipment China suppliers. That said, the company may be gearing up for higher prices. According to LeaksApplePro on Twitter, Apple is considering raising the price of all four iPhone 14 models by $100.
14: $799
14 Max: $899
14 Pro: $1099
14 Pro Max: $1199Apple is currently considering this.
Production costs are increasing and there has to be more than a $100 difference between the 14 Max and the 14 Pro.
Makes sense to me and wouldn’t expect changes.
Will keep you updated.

It should be noted that the mini model will no longer be included in the iPhone 14 series, and Apple will replace it with the iPhone 14 Max. As the name suggests, the 14 Max will have the same 6.7-inch display as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. But while it will be as big as the 14 Pro Max, the 14 Max will likely feature lower specs and a lower price point. It will also retain the bangs, just like the standard iPhone 14.
As the leaker explained, the production cost of the iPhone 14 series will be higher than previous generations. Apple wants to maintain healthy profit margins, which may require higher prices. After all, there will be noteworthy upgrades to the processor, camera, and display.
New rumors suggest that Apple will replace the notch with a pill-shaped punch-hole to house Face ID and the selfie camera. Meanwhile, a dot-matrix projector may be located below the screen. Putting any part under the glass would be an expensive endeavor, so it’s no wonder that the price of the iPhone 14 is likely to go up. Ultimately, these costs are always passed on to consumers.
