The OnePlus Buds Pro is not in and of itself a new model. Rather, the in-ear headphones were presented as early as August 2021. Felix had already subjected this model to a test here on the blog. So what’s new? Well, together with the OnePlus 10 Pro, a silver color variant of the OnePlus Buds Pro was also unveiled – initially only for the Chinese market.
In terms of technology, however, everything remains the same: Accordingly, active noise suppression and wireless charging of the case via Qi are offered. You also have the option of a calibrated sound profile and Zen Mode Air. The noise suppression of the OnePlus Buds Pro is said to be adaptive.
In other words: it adapts intelligently. Up to 40 dB of noise should be able to be filtered out. OnePlus has installed three microphones for this purpose. The OnePlus Audio ID also includes a function for a calibrated sound profile of the headphones.
Zen Mode Air is responsible for digital wellbeing – analogous to OnePlus smartphones. The connection to the smartphone itself is via Bluetooth 5.2. LHDC is supported as an audio codec, and support for Dolby Atmos is also available.
One charge of the Buds Pro should provide seven hours of music playback via the dynamic 11 mm drivers. Together with the charging case, up to 38 hours are possible. 10 hours of listening pleasure (combined: Case + Buds Pro) can be achieved within 10 minutes of charging. In addition to USB-C, you can also choose to charge wirelessly using Qi.
Others? The Buds Pro is certified with IP55 and thus water and sweat-resistant. In gaming mode, up to 94 ms latency can be achieved on compatible OnePlus smartphones. The price of the silver color variant of the OnePlus Buds Pro is the equivalent of 111 euros in China. In Germany, the headphones, should they also come to us in this form, are likely to cost the same price as the other color variants – that is, 149 euros.
