It is reported that on GTC 2022, Jensen will show its long-rumored Hopper architecture, which is Nvidia’s first high-performance computing accelerator with a multi-chip design. The accelerator will compete with the AMD Instinct MI 200 series that debuted in November last year.
A tipster previously stated that the Nvidia Hopper accelerator will be manufactured using TSMC’s 5nm process and a dual-chip MCM design, with a total of 288 EUs, which is 2.6 times that of the previous A100 graphics card. With more stream processors and updated architecture, the performance can be up to 3 times that of NVIDIA A100.
