WSATools is an application that was launched on the Microsoft Store 2 months ago. It aims to simplify the process of loading Android applications on Windows 11. It uses the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) command-line tool method to simplify complex operations.
However, due to some reasons, this application has now been removed, but Microsoft promised its developers that if the problems found are resolved, WSATools can return. However, the application does not seem to be back on the shelves, but when you search for WSATools in the Microsoft Store, a fake version of it appears.
This seemingly counterfeit application is called Apk™ Installer and is made by a developer named Top Ads. The signs used by both are also very similar (picture above). The one on the left is the real WSATools logo.
However, the logo is not the only similarity between the two applications. Most of the application descriptions on the Microsoft Store are also copied and pasted. In fact, the creator of Apk™ Installer even forgot to replace the words WSATools with the name of its own application in the description.
We are by no means to say that the new Apk™ Installer is better or worse than WSATools. However, users may mistakenly download the wrong application when looking for the latter, especially Apk™ Installer appears when searching for WSATools in the Microsoft Store. At least from the first impression it provides, it also looks like a copy-and-paste fake from WSATools.
