After Meizu tested the back screen design, mobile phone manufacturers including Xiaomi and OPPO have also tried in this regard. Following the recently exposed Find X4 Pro patent, OPPO has now again obtained 3 design patents. The common feature is that the camera module on the back of the fuselage has a rear screen.
Having a display on the back is nothing new. The Meizu Pro 7 series brought a 2-inch Super AM OLED screen, while the Mi 11 Ultra reused the 1.1-inch Mi Band 5 panel. And let’s not forget the Vivo NEX dual-screen, there are two full-size displays on both sides, and each foldable phone.
In the patents issued by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), there is no word about whether these screens are touch-sensitive. But what is certain is that these screens can be used for common information such as notifications, selfies, and display time.
