After being able to participate in voice calls after they start, the next new feature for this component is just around the corner. WhatsApp is working on a new interface for voice calls. That’s what it looks like.
WhatsApp voice calls
With voice calls in WhatsApp, you can call your contacts for free, even if they are in another country. For voice calls, the internet connection on your phone is used instead of your calling minutes. Data costs may then be charged.
The voice calling interface in WhatsApp has been the same for ages, but that’s about to change, WABetaInfo discovered. In the screenshot below you can see the old and the side of the new situation by side. In a future update of the app, we will see a more compact and modern look for this part.
Better use is made of the available space, which will be especially helpful when group discussions are held. It is not yet known when the new interface will come to WhatsApp. As usual, beta testers will be the first to get started with the new interface.
