The speculation about the release date of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is coming to an end because the Geekbench benchmark database has exposed the running score of the SM-A536U model. As a new mid-range 5G device, the list shows that the device is equipped with a dual-cluster eight-core processor. The frequency of the two high-performance cores is 2.4 GHz, and the main frequency of the other energy-saving core is 2.0 GHz.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the first A-series mid-range 5G new device, which is the Galaxy A52 5G. Many people speculate that the Korean electronics giant will also bring a refreshed Galaxy A53 5G model in the same period of 2022.
In terms of processors, the 2021 Galaxy A52 5G is equipped with the acclaimed Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G chipset. As for the new Galaxy A53 5G device scheduled to arrive in early 2022, it is currently unclear whether it will use its own Exynos chipset.
Last month, 91Mobiles has shared a rendering of the Galaxy A53 5G, and there are even reports that the phone is being produced in India. Now, with the exposure of Geekbench benchmark results, it means that the launch of the new device is on the line.
MySmartPrice pointed out that SM-A536U achieved a single-core 686 / multi-core 1847 score on the s5e8825 motherboard + 6GB RAM hardware platform.
Inferring from the CPU specifications, the device may use MediaTek Dimensity 900 or its own Exynos 1200 chipset, and the GPU part is Mali-G68.
In addition, Samsung may provide high-end models with 8GB RAM and will pre-install OneUI 4.0 software customized based on the Android 12 mobile operating system.
The expected specifications of the new Samsung Galaxy A53 5G are as follows:
- AM OLED display
- MediaTek Dimensity 900/Exynos 1200 chipset
- 6GB RAM
- Rear four-camera module
- Android 12 mobile operating system
If all goes well, Samsung may launch the Galaxy A53 5G in early 2022. The renderings that surfaced last month also showed the centered Infinity-O front punch, the slender screen frame around, the rear four cameras, and the USB-C charging/data port.
