Dawn of Ragnarok is about to rise on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and it will be red with blood and full of content. Ubisoft has in fact just unveiled the new expansion with a trailer, even if the release date is not exactly close: we are talking about March 10, 2022.
The wait is still quite long, in short, but the reward according to what the software house suggests will be a huge DLC, capable of adding 35 hours of play to the Eivor saga, with a particular focus on the events that have Asgard as a background.
In Dawn of Ragnarok, players will be called to take on the divine shoes of Odin and to explore and fight in the new region of Svartalfheim, whose size is considerable: we are talking about about a third of the original game map.
The narrative framework hinges on a precise mission: to find and save one of Odin’s sons, Baldr. To do this it will be necessary to resort to the help of the dwarves fleeing from Svartalfheim and the unprecedented equipment they have.
In addition to the new items, the fights will also change thanks to the powers Odin will have, and which will be unlocked gradually as the story progresses and becomes stronger.
Taking a more general consideration, one can perhaps think that The Dawn of Ragnarok is in effect the dawn of the next evolution of the franchise, the one that with Assassin’s Creed Infinite will transform it into a platform made up of periodic expansions and full of contents, opening up important possibilities towards magic and the supernatural (and thus perhaps turning up their noses at fans more linked to the traditional nature of the brand).
