Since last August, Google has begun to discontinue its Hangout messaging application, an application that has Google Meet and Google Chat among its successors. Over the last few months, Google has brought graphic renewals to several of its applications, now it’s up to Google Chat which receives the implementation of a new bottom bar that groups several shortcuts in a single button.
As can be seen from the image above, the old interface integrated the shortcuts for Gallery, Camera, Drive, Google Meet and Calendar in the same box; the new one instead presents a text field with the shortcut for the Gallery in the foreground on the right, all the others are grouped under the “+” button, clicking on it opens a drop-down that gives us access to the other shortcuts.

The update that integrates these new features is available on the Play Store and brings the Google Chat application to version 2021.10.31.408397499.
Looks like a new UI is rolling out for the bottom bar in Google Chat on mobile.
