The Last of Us is the adaptation of the video game of the same name by HBO, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Word Games and The Mighty Mint. Produced by Craig Mazin, author of the Chernobyl miniseries, as well as Naughty Dog co-chair Neil Druckmann, the series is currently in production in Canada and is scheduled to finish in June 2022.
The official Twitter account of The Last of Us has recently shared a video from the set of the series. The clip gives fans a look at Joel and Ellie riding in tandem on horseback. Halfway through The Last of Us, Joel takes Ellie to Wyoming to find her brother, Tommy, a former Firefly, in the hopes that he can help them locate the remaining fireflies.

The story of The Last of Us series will largely resume that of the first chapter originally released on PS3 consoles and later also on PS4 (recover the game on Amazon!): Joel (Pedro Pascal) is one of the few survivors of a health catastrophe which has almost completely exterminated the entire world population. His job will be to escort a young girl named Ellie (Bella Ramsey) through some inaccessible areas of America, for a very specific purpose that will not be given to him, at least at the beginning.
The series also stars Nico Parker as Joel’s daughter Sarah, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess and Merle Dandridge reprising the role of Marlene, leader of the Firefly games.
