The Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone family may be available for pre-order from February 2022: prolific leaker Jon Prosser claims this on his Front Page Tech website, citing anonymous sources. More precisely, week 6 of 2022 is mentioned, therefore the one that runs from February 7 to February 13.
It seems that Samsung has not finalized the decision nor the exact date at the moment, so there may still be some variation, but the time window will be more or less. At the same time, Prosser confirms what he said a few days ago regarding the tribolato S21 FE, namely that the debut should take place in January – to be precise on the 11th.
In recent days it has emerged very interesting details on the upcoming family of smartphones top of the South Korean company’s range, including a series of ultra-realistic render the flagship S22 Ultra model. The new range will represent a rather clean cut with the past from a design point of view: instead of resorting to the now classic, monolithic rectangular rear camera module, each lens will be isolated from the others, taking up a bit of what we have seen recently with the Galaxy A range. On S22 Ultra we should have four cameras (to which depth sensor and flash will probably be added):
- MP 108 Main wide-angle, updated version of HM3, 1/33 “, from 0,88um pixels, f / 1.8, 85 ° FOV
- Sony 12 MP ultra wide angle, 0.6x, 1 / 2.55 “, 1.4um pixel, f / 2.2, FOV 120 °
- 10 MP tele Sony (new), 10x, 1 / 3.52 “, pixel by 1,12um, f / 4.9, FOV 11 °
- 10 MP tele Sony (new), 3x, 1 / 3.52 “, pixel by 1,12um, f / 2.4, FOV 36 °

The range should mount the latest SoCs from Qualcomm and Samsung, divided as usual according to the target markets; to us, as always, the model with Exynos should arrive. There could also be a small change to the line-up from a naming point of view: the S22 Plus model could become the S22 Pro. On the battery side, the capacities should remain substantially unchanged – perhaps even slightly lower on the S22 smooth and S22 Plus/Pro.
